DIY FIX IF YOUR LINING IS PEELING OR BEGINS PEELING:
1.    Clean and prep
- Remove insoles if removable.
- Clean with isopropyl alcohol or gentle leather cleaner; remove dust and oils; let dry completely.
- Trim loose bits and sand gently to create a uniform surface.
2.    Re-adhere small peeled sections
- Use a flexible contact adhesive (e.g., Barge Cement, Shoe Goo, Tandy Neoprene Barge) or a flexible leather adhesive.
- Lift the lining slightly, apply a thin even coat of adhesive to both surfaces, wait per product instructions (often 5–10 minutes tack time), press and clamp with small binder clips or clothespins using protective padding to avoid marks. Wipe excess immediately.
3.    Re-line large or crumbling areas
- Remove degraded lining material if it’s powdery or can’t be re-adhered.
- Cut a replacement lining from thin leather, suede, microfiber, athletic sock fabric, or adhesive-backed leatherette. Patterns can be traced from the removed piece or by using paper.
- Glue replacement piece with contact cement or flexible shoe adhesive. Smooth to avoid wrinkles. Trim edges flush and sand lightly if needed.
4.    Use thin heel/toe liners for comfort and concealment
- Adhesive suede or microfiber heel grips and full-length footbed liners cover and protect rebuilt areas, add comfort, and hide repairs. They also reduce sweat and friction that cause future peeling.
Products and tools needed:
·       Adhesives: Barge Cement, Shoe Goo, Gorilla Clear Grip (flexible), E6000 (flexible variant), leather contact cement.
·       Patch materials: adhesive suede/moleskin, thin leather scraps, microfiber fabric, heel grips.
·       Tools: small scissors, X-acto knife, 320–400 grit sandpaper, isopropyl alcohol, clamp/clothespins, disposable applicator (toothpick/spatula).
Featuring a supportive and beautifully adjustable heart-shaped pin buckle closure, removable and changeable bow accent, a 5cm kitten heel, and a soft rubber sole that will take you from the office, classroom, salon, supermarket, café (or #whereveryougo)… and still help you dance all night long! Sizing advice: If you are a fan and wearer of our Hot Chocolate Design flats and heels, we recommend the following - if your Chocolaticas are a loose or roomy fit, then choose the SAME AU size as the number printed on the sole of your Chocs as below: 34 = 4, 35 = 5, 36 = 6, 37 = 7, 38 = 8, 39 = 9, 40 = 10, 41 = 11, 42 = 12, 43 = 13 If your Chocs are a spot on or tight/snug fit, then choose the AU size UP from the above.  If you're new to our brands, choose the size you most often purchase in AU sizing. They are a roomy fit to AU whole sizes and have enough give to be suited to a wider foot, without gaping on medium or even slightly narrow feet. In other words, we got ya covered! Â
